Job Description

Responsible for safe operation of LGV/HGV vehicles while leading small teams in gardening, refuse collection, recycling, and cleansing services across Nottingham city.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate LGV/HGV vehicles such as refuse collection vehicles, gritters, and mainline sweepers.

• Lead small teams during daily operations ensuring safety compliance.

• Perform gardening, refuse, recycling, and cleansing duties across the city.

• Monitor operational issues, including equipment maintenance and safety hazards.

• Follow Nottingham City Council policies and environmental standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Class 2 LGV Driving Licence

• Full CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)

• Experience with safe operation of LGV/HGV vehicles

• DBS enhanced check for regulated activity

• Teamwork and ability to work independently

• Commitment to safety, reliability, and punctuality

Working Hours and Contract

• Part-time, 37 hours per week (pro-rata)

• Permanent contract

• On-site role at Eastcroft, Nottingham
