Job Description

Serve customers, operate till, sort donations, record Gift Aid, steam clothes, assist manager, maintain shop standards, join team, impactful volunteering.

Role Overview

  • Volunteer Shop Assistant supporting DEBRA’s Kirkintilloch charity shop
  • Customer service, stock processing, and shop floor upkeep
  • In-person role; flexible weekday and weekend availability

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve customers courteously; process payments on computerised tills
  • Sort and price donated stock, clothing, and bric-a-brac
  • Record donor details for Gift Aid accurately
  • Steam garments; maintain presentation and cleanliness
  • Assist the Shop Manager with daily tasks to keep operations efficient

Schedule and Location

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with weekend availability (flexible by rota)
  • Work location: In person at DEBRA Kirkintilloch shop (East Dunbartonshire)
