We are looking for a vibrant, bar-focused Food & Beverage Assistant for our Glasgow team. If you are passionate about mixology, wine, and high-standard service, and want to work for a company that prioritizes “promoting from within,” your next chapter starts here.

About the Role

In this part-time role, you will be the heartbeat of the hotel’s social spaces. Reporting to the F&B and Operations Managers, you will provide a friendly, efficient, and professional service that makes our guests feel at home. This position has a strong Bar Focus, meaning you’ll be crafting drinks, making wine recommendations, and maintaining a high-energy floor presence. Whether you’re greeting a regular by name or upselling a signature cocktail, your goal is to maximize the guest experience and drive revenue in a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Guest Engagement: Greet regular guests by name and provide personalized, “friendly-first” service.

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the food and wine menus to provide expert recommendations.

  • Sales Excellence: Actively upsell and identify opportunities to maximize revenue at the bar and restaurant.

  • Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages with precision while maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment.

  • Operational Support: Handle general cleaning duties and ensure the bar is stocked and ready for high-volume shifts.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume or fast-paced hospitality environment is essential. Hotel experience is a major plus.

  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and late nights.

  • Commitment: Full availability during key seasonal periods, including Christmas and New Year.

  • Communication: Fluent English and the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse international clientele.

  • Technical Skills: Experience with Micros (POS) is highly preferable.

Why Join Dalata?

We are an inclusive employer that values your growth as much as our own. Through the Dalata Academy, you will have access to unique internal development programmes designed to fast-track your career.

  • Financial Perks: Competitive pay plus 50% off F&B across all properties and a £60 employee room rate at all Dalata-owned hotels.

  • Work-Life Support: Free meals on duty, an Employee Assistance Programme, and a Cycle to Work scheme.

  • Time Off: Start with standard leave and earn an extra Annual Leave day for every year worked (up to 5 days).

  • Team Culture: Enjoy staff appreciation initiatives, team-building days, and regular charity events.
