Job Description

The Mold Press Operator I sets up and operates compression molding machines to produce high-quality polymer and fabric components according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Mold rubber and fabric parts using heated press lines

• Select and inspect molds, clean and position into press plates

• Operate hand tools, electric hoists, sandblasters, knives, shears, etc.

• Interpret job paperwork for schedules, assembly procedures, and quality requirements

• Perform computer transactions for production order feedback, batch control, and quality tracking

• Complete and forward job paperwork accurately with stamps, dates, and initials

• Verify accuracy of components, job paperwork, drawings, and tool requirements

• Follow all safety rules and wear protective equipment

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

• Ability to operate molding and production machinery

• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling components

• Understanding of press cycle times and quality inspection

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production floor

• Requires standing, lifting, and handling materials safely

• Follow supervisor instructions and perform additional job-related duties as needed
