Job Description

The XR Stories Studio Manager will lead immersive technology initiatives, manage studio projects, and collaborate with academic, creative, and industry partners in York.

Core Job Information

Role Overview

  • Manage the XR Stories Studio within the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology.

  • Develop and implement events, workshops, and activities that explore future screen and immersive technologies.

  • Facilitate project proposals and ensure smooth studio operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with small to medium enterprises (SMEs), academics, researchers, and students.

  • Manage studio projects from concept to delivery.

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and regional organisations.

  • Support creative technologists and manage technical project requirements.

  • Oversee project documentation, reporting, and communication.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Experience in collaboration and stakeholder relationship management.

  • Strong project management and data analysis abilities.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including use of digital communication platforms.

  • Technical knowledge in immersive technologies or creative production desirable.
