Financials & Schedule

  • Salary: £72,000 per annum

  • Working Hours: “Office hours” – No evenings, weekends, or bank holidays.

  • Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays (option to buy/sell 5 days).


Key Responsibilities

  • Functional Assessments: Evaluating how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their day-to-day life through telephone, video, or face-to-face consultations.

  • Report Writing: Producing Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

  • Clinical Analysis: Applying medical knowledge to complex cases involving veterans, neurological conditions, industrial injuries, and respiratory diseases.

  • Professional Standards: Maintaining clinical accuracy with the support of regular feedback and supervision from mentors.


Candidate Requirements

Clinical & Legal

  • Certification: Must be a Registered Medical Doctor with a valid GMC registration number.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience (NHS or private).

  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK. No sponsorship is offered.

Skills

  • Communication: Excellent oral and written skills for conducting patient interviews and writing technical reports.

  • IT Literacy: Comfortable using various software to type and produce detailed clinical documents.

  • Soft Skills: High level of compassion and the ability to handle challenging cases.
