Water Capability Lead – CCM

We are currently seeking a Water Capability Lead – Cost and Commercial Management (CCM) to join our Resilience business area.

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving our CCM team to deliver high-performing, efficient solutions that protect the natural environment while powering the world for future generations.

Role Accountabilities

As the Water Capability Lead, you will sit within the UK Water Leadership team, overseeing the strategic growth and operational excellence of the CCM capability.

• Leadership & Management: Direct line management of the CCM capability, implementing robust management structures and succession planning to ensure a future-ready team.

• Operational Excellence: Monitor team performance to outperform utilization and billability targets, developing corrective actions where necessary.

• Strategic Growth: Partner with Talent Acquisition to execute recruitment plans and drive Global Excellence Centre (GEC) integration to ensure seamless service delivery across borders.

• Innovation & Digitalization: Work with leadership to integrate automation, standardization, and digitalization into our service offerings, ensuring Arcadis remains “best-in-class.”

• Quality Assurance: Lead the integration of Progressive Cost Risk Assessment (PCRA) and assurance approaches to reduce project risk and exceed client expectations.

• Commercial SME Support: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key accounts, supporting complex contract negotiations and providing commercial guidance across the water portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a technically proficient leader with a proven track record in the water infrastructure sector.

• Leadership Background: Significant experience leading large, diverse, and geographically dispersed teams within a service-line environment.

• Technical Expertise: Experience in the design of water infrastructure projects and a deep understanding of commercial subject matter.

• Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability in complex contract management, negotiation, and driving commercial performance.

• Digital Mindset: A technology-enabled approach to project delivery, with experience in utilizing digital tools to enhance service areas.

• Professional Standing: Active links to relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, ICE) and recognized as a senior technical expert.
