Warehouse Operative
Location: Frankley
Department: Warehouse
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30-16:30
Salary: Starting £13 per hour, depending on experience.

About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse team. You’
ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of stock across the business.This is a hands-on position where attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive approach are essential. You’ll help make sure that customer orders are picked, packed, and delivered on time — maintaining our high standards for accuracy, safety, and service.
What You’ll Do
• Receive, store, move, and record goods accurately using the stock system.
• Pick and pack customer orders to agreed deadlines, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
• Assign goods received numbers and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Flag and resolve any issues with stock or deliveries promptly.
• Ensure all products are correctly labelled and stored in the right locations.
• Support regular stock takes and keep stock control systems up to date.
• Report shortages and request internal stock transfers where necessary.
• Wrap pallets securely and prepare stock for safe transport.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S principles.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, particularly when handling chemicals or using machinery.
About You
You’ll be a motivated and dependable individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in your work, pay close attention to detail, and approach every task with a “can-do” attitude.
Essential:
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive, professional, and proactive approach.
Desirable:
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence and experience operating FLT equipment.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above).
• Experience with Sage 50 or similar stock systems.
• Knowledge of 5S, 6 Sigma, or lean manufacturing principles.
