Job Description

To support the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse operation, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The role also involves driving a 3.5-tonne van to carry out stock transfers between sites and deliver goods as required, ensuring all items are handled safely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties:
• Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately and safely.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for collection according to delivery schedules.
• Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Use warehouse systems and equipment (e.g., handheld scanners, pallet trucks, forklifts etc.).
• Assist with goods returns, damaged stock, and stock rotation.

Driving Duties:
• Safely operate a 3.5T van to carry out stock transfers between company sites and deliver goods to clients as required.
• Load and unload the vehicle efficiently, ensuring items are secure and undamaged.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues immediately.
• Adhere to all road traffic laws and company transport policies.
• Represent the company professionally while driving and when interacting with staff or customers.

General:
• Work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all company policies and health & safety procedures.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (essential).
• Full, clean UK driving licence (Category B – up to 3.5T).
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and manual handling practices.
• Physically fit and able to lift moderate weights safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills for using handheld devices or warehouse software.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach).
• Experience with multi-site stock transfers or local deliveries.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,134.04 per year
