Job Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Take accountability for everyday outputs across receiving, shipping, and inventory management.

  • Coordinate workforce requirements, oversee presence, and design shift schedules to satisfy requirements using a mix of fixed and temporary staff.

  • Execute organized transition briefings, initial team huddles, and onsite inspections; clear obstacles and communicate threats promptly.

  • Preserve movement, spatial organization, and cleanliness protocols to reduce transit time, idle periods, and redundant tasks.

Safety & Compliance

  • Supervise the execution of safety audits, reporting of near-misses, and probes into accidents.

  • Guarantee alignment with UK health and safety statutes and organizational guidelines.

  • Ensure hazard evaluations and mandatory inspections remain current, resolving remedial tasks quickly.

  • Establish and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all vital safety protocols, ensuring they are understandable and available to employees.

Developing and Managing a Team

  • Direct individual output and perform periodic evaluations synchronized with organizational targets.
