Warehouse/Driver Class 2

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Driver minimum class 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations while also fulfilling delivery duties. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, mechanical knowledge, and experience in both warehouse environments and driving commercial vehicles. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the organisation of our warehouse.

Responsibilities
• Operate a van or flatbed lorry for deliveries, ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods.
• Manage inventory within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching products.
• Communicate with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimise workflow and improve operational processes.

Experience
• Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver is essential.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is highly desirable.
• A valid commercial driving licence is required for this position.
• Strong communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road.
• Experience operating flatbed vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
