Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team at Toytake2 Ltd, a growing retail and e-commerce company based in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on delivery operations, while also assisting with warehouse management tasks. This role requires strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver goods to customers promptly and safely, ensuring all deliveries are accurate
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, handle goods with care
• Assist in daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and organising inventory
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training can be provided)
• Manage inventory using warehouse management systems; maintain accurate stock records
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and customers in both English and Mandarin
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
Requirements & Skills
• Valid UK Driving Licence (Full Licence required)
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (both spoken and written)
• Proven experience in a warehouse or delivery environment preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a strong work ethic
• Basic mechanical knowledge or forklift experience is a plus (training available)
• Familiarity with warehouse systems (e.g., AS400) is advantageous but not essential
Working Hours
• Full-time or Part-time roles available
• Flexibility required (some weekend work may be needed)
Salary
• Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience
