Todd Doors, the UK’s leading supplier of quality timber doors, are recruiting for an enthusiastic Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our Solihull based team. Applicants must be professional and motivated individuals who possess a Counterbalance Licence with experience.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager based at our Solihull Warehouse B90 4SH.

Hours: Mon-Fri 08.00-17.00 (40hrs p/w) 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Salary: £29,536.00 p.a. or £14.20ph

Counterbalance Licence – Essential
Driving License – Essential
Reach License – Preferable, but can be cross trained

This is a physically demanding role, manual handling training will be provided as staff must be capable of heavy lifting (doors can weigh up to 50kg)

Candidates must have held a full UK driving license for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 3 points, and for insurance purposes, must be over 21.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves heavy lifting, forklift operation, and driving which requires excellent attention to detail. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills across different areas of warehousing as the site expands.

Your role is to assist the Warehouse Manager with the following tasks:
• Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds expectations
• Deliver goods to customers mainly in a long wheel based transit sized vehicle. There will be no overnight stays and deliveries will be mainly in the south and up to the Midlands.
• Loading, unloading, and accurately checking stock received from containers and lorries
• Handle deliveries by handballing and forklift, always following company processes
• Assist customers with handballing doors in and out of their vehicles
• Prepare and check outgoing deliveries for the following day
• Keep accurate internal stock movement records
• Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, yard, and office
• Assist in resolving warehouse-related issues (e.g., forklifts, roller shutters, lighting)
• Deal with customers efficiently, courteously, and promptly
• Handle customer complaints/enquiries and follow them through to resolution
• Ensure paperwork is precise and clear for colleagues to follow
• Follow all company systems, procedures, and Health & Safety guidelines
• Assist with stocktakes in line with company procedures
• Support the training and development of new recruits
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer service, reduce costs, and improve margins
• Report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager
• Carry out reasonable ad hoc duties to ensure smooth warehouse operations

• Strong forklift skills
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting safely
• Excellent attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable
• Ideally local or within a short commute

Experience:
• Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
• Delivery Driver: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
