Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Responsible to: Multibank Manager

Location: West Midlands Multibank, Nechells, Birmingham

Hours of work: 35 per week. Job share would be considered

Contract: 12 months fixed term contract

Do you enjoy keeping things organised and making sure everything is in the right place at the right time?

Can you bring a positive, can-do attitude to a busy team where every day is different?

Would you like your work to directly support people across the West Midlands who are struggling to make ends meet?

If you answered yes, this could be the role for you.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join the West Midlands Multibank, a partnership tackling poverty by redistributing donated goods to families and individuals in need. You’ll help keep the warehouse running smoothly – receiving and sorting donations, picking and packing orders for partner organisations, and ensuring our visitors receive a warm, efficient service.

As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be receiving and organising stock in a safe and efficient way, ensuring donations are properly sorted and stored so they can be easily accessed when needed.

You will also take care of picking, packing and preparing orders for collection or delivery, making sure that partner organisations receive the right items promptly and in good condition.

Another important aspect of the role will be supporting and working alongside volunteers, helping them to settle into their tasks and feel like valued members of the team.

We are seeking someone who has experience of working in a busy and dynamic environment, such as a warehouse, retail or hospitality setting, and who is comfortable juggling multiple demands.

You should bring strong teamwork, organisational and customer service skills, as well as the ability to stay positive and solutions-focused even when things get hectic.

It’s also important that you have an awareness of health and safety practices and understand how to apply these within a warehouse environment.
