Job Overview
As a Vehicle Delivery Driver, you will collect and deliver vehicles to clients, attend taxi tests and council appointments, complete accurate paperwork and licence checks, and keep every vehicle clean, fuelled and ready for hire. You’ll work mainly day shifts, representing Proximo professionally while supporting our central logistics team.
Responsibilities
• Deliver and collect a range of vehicles to and from clients on a timely schedule
• Attend taxi testing and council appointments with vehicles as required
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy and suitable for hire
• Complete rental and supplementary paperwork fully and accurately, obtaining all signatures
• Carry out driving licence and identification checks
• Obtain and record fuel receipts for all fuel transactions
• Liaise politely and professionally with clients, councils and testing departments
• Handle cash and cheques, issuing and obtaining receipts where applicable
• Refuel vehicles in line with company policy
• Report any issues with vehicles, paperwork or licence checks promptly to the Central Logistics Controller or Regional Manager
• Accurately complete driver timesheets for all tasks
• Maintain high personal appearance standards and wear company uniform
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and road legislation at all times
Requirements
• Full UK driving licence (required)
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Coventry before starting
• Delivery driver or driving experience of at least one year preferred
• Strong customer service skills and professional telephone and face-to-face manner
• Honest, accountable and respectful approach aligned with company values
• Ability to work an eight-hour day shift and follow scheduled routes
• Accurate record-keeping skills for paperwork, receipts and timesheets
• Safety-conscious and fully compliant with road laws and company policies
