Van Driver / Warehouse Operative

Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation the product delivery to customers. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Please note all candidates need to have a in date UK Driving Licence*

Responsibilities of a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative:
• Ensure the on time delivery of ordered products to customers locally
• Load the vehicle in a way that ensures that the planned route matches the order of deliveries
• Keep customers updated with delivery times or any unexpected delays
• Do regular checks of the vehicle before and after each shift
• When not out on deliveries you will be expected to support in the warehouse, this might be picking orders, wrapping pallets, loading and unloading or assembling

Requirements of a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative:
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift
• Proficient in materials handling techniques to ensure safe transport of goods
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in picking, packing, and inventory management tasks
• A team player who can work collaboratively within a diverse workforce

Details of a of a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative:
• Hours – 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday 8am – 12pm Friday
• Pay – £13.50 Per hour
