Role Overview

Starting in September 2026, you’ll join a fast-growing specialist team delivering US tax services to European-based asset management clients (private equity, real estate and other funds). Under the guidance of experienced Associates and Managers, you’ll support engagements from workpaper preparation through to returns, K‑1s and technical research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review extensions, US federal and state tax returns, estimates and Schedules K‑1/K‑3 for funds and investors
  • Support PFIC analysis and related reporting for fund structures and underlying investments
  • Research US and international tax issues (including treaty interpretation) and summarise findings clearly for the engagement team
  • Draft concise written tax advice and memoranda for clients under manager guidance
  • Correspond with tax authorities (e.g. IRS and state agencies) as directed, helping to prepare responses and documentation
  • Participate in internal meetings and, where appropriate, lead discussions on allocated workstreams
  • Deliver work to agreed timelines and quality standards, escalating issues and risks promptly

  • Strong understanding of core US tax concepts, especially partnership taxation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical points clearly
  • Strong research and analytical skills, comfortable working with detailed rules and large datasets
  • Confident user of Excel and eager to learn new tax software and technology processes
  • Highly organised, able to manage several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
