Standard Bank Group
Job Description
Treasury & Structured Products Operations Administrator
Join the offshore division of Standard Bank Group, a powerhouse in African financial services with a formidable global footprint. As a Treasury & Structured Products Operations Administrator, you will be the backbone of our Mitcham-based team, ensuring the seamless execution of high-stakes financial maneuvers.
This role is a unique entry-level gateway into the world of International Banking, Wealth Management, and Structured Products. You won’t just be processing data; you’ll be safeguarding the financial integrity of high-net-worth families, multinational corporations, and institutional clients. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a drive for process improvement and a passion for the offshore financial landscape, this is your opportunity to build a career with purpose.
The Role at a Glance
Your mission is to provide efficient, compliant, and top-tier Treasury support. You will handle everything from funding activities to complex structured product administration, ensuring our clients receive the world-class service Standard Bank is known for.
Key Responsibilities
-
Portfolio & Market Analysis: Maintain the accuracy of department reporting by updating portfolio data with monthly indices and exchange rates. You’ll work directly with Bloomberg terminals and master spreadsheets to manage approved recommendation lists.
-
Data Integrity: Manage the “Golden Source” of information. This includes account opening/closing and static data maintenance. You are the first line of defense in identifying and escalating data discrepancies.
-
Treasury Operations: Process fixed-term deposits from Relationship Managers and Contact Centres, ensuring specific client terms and post-maturity instructions are executed perfectly.
-
Payment Execution: Orchestrate payments and non-payment entries in strict adherence to bank guidelines, supporting a high-standard client experience.
-
Process Evolution: Actively identify operational bottlenecks. You will collaborate with Operations Management to refine cross-functional workflows and boost team efficiency.
Who We Are Looking For
-
Education: Minimum of Secondary School/High School/A-Levels/Matric.
-
Experience: While 1–2 years in Operations is preferred, this is an entry-level role—we value potential and a fast-learning mindset over long resumes.
-
Technical Savvy: Familiarity with banking procedures, liquidity management, and data interpretation. Comfort with Bloomberg is a significant plus.
-
Mindset: A meticulous “checker” who follows procedures to the letter but remains flexible enough to embrace change and drive continuous improvement.
Note: This position is strictly for local residents. No relocation or visa sponsorship is available for this role.
