Access Skills Ltd, a leading UK provider of Health & Social Care training, is seeking a dedicated Assessor to join our Birmingham-based team. As a Skills for Care Endorsed Provider and partner of the National Care Association, we pride ourselves on delivering industry-standard apprenticeships and professional development. This role is pivotal in guiding learners through their qualifications, ensuring they meet CQC-compliant standards and excel in their care careers.


Role Overview

  • Position: Health & Social Care Assessor (On-site)

  • Location: Birmingham

  • Salary: £29,750 – £36,500

  • Contract: Full-time or Part-time available

  • Sectors: Health & Social Care, Children & Young People (CYP), and Leadership & Management


Key Responsibilities

  • Learner Evaluation: Assess and support learners working toward diplomas and apprenticeships, ensuring high-quality training delivery.

  • Progress Monitoring: Track learner journeys, conduct regular assessments, and provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their goals.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, industry-standard records of learner progress in line with CQC and Skills for Care requirements.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact between learners, employers, and the training provider to ensure a seamless educational experience.

  • Digital Integration: Utilize e-learning platforms and digital tools to manage documentation and track professional development.


Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for an education professional with a deep-rooted passion for the Health & Social Care industry.

  • Certifications: You must hold a relevant Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, or equivalent).

  • Industry Knowledge: Practical professional experience within the Health & Social Care sector.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate digital record-keeping platforms and e-learning tools.

  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and the interpersonal flair required to motivate learners and maintain employer relationships.

  • Standards Mastery: A thorough understanding of current Health & Social Care standards and assessment procedures.
