Why Become a Driving Instructor?

  • Dual-Controlled Car: Get your very own specialized vehicle to teach in, ensuring safety for both you and your students.

  • Earn While You Teach: Competitive earnings ranging from £20,000 to £35,000 per year.

  • Guaranteed Job: Once you complete our training, a position with My Four Wheels is guaranteed.

  • Training Fee Refund: We offer the most cost-effective training in the UK. After one year of working with us, we begin refunding your training fees weekly until year three.

Who Are We Looking For?

You don’t need a background in driving instruction to start. We have successfully recruited former Teachers, HGV Drivers, Accountants, and Engineers. We value personality and soft skills above all else:

  • Patient & Punctual: Essential for helping nervous learners find their confidence.

  • Customer Service Focused: You enjoy meeting new people and building professional relationships.

  • Reliable: Someone our students can count on to show up and support them.

Requirements to Apply

To meet the legal requirements for training and the ADI register, you must:

  • Driving History: Have held a full UK (or approved foreign) driving licence for at least 2.5 years.

  • Clean Record: Have not been banned from driving in the last 4 years.

  • Points: Have no more than 6 points on your licence.

About the Career Change

Transitioning to a Driving Instructor role allows you to take control of your work-life balance.
