Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Management: Carry out professional outbound calls to small commercial prospects to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Appointment Setting: Secure appointments for the sales team by identifying renewal dates and obtaining initial quotation details.

  • Multi-Channel Engagement: Beyond the phone, you will represent the brand at networking events and participate in community engagement and marketing campaigns.

  • Pre-Call Research: Conduct online business research to ensure call data is accurate and to tailor your approach to each specific prospect.

  • Targeted Follow-ups: Manage the lead lifecycle using tailored email and postal follow-ups to keep the business top-of-mind for potential clients.

  • Compliance: Ensure all interactions provide the highest level of customer service while adhering to strict insurance regulatory criteria.


What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Communication Skills: A confident, well-spoken telephone manner and the ability to converse naturally at networking events.

  • Telemarketing Experience: Previous experience in a telemarketing or appointment-setting environment is highly desirable.

  • Research Ability: Proficiency in using online resources to verify business data and prepare for calls.

  • Target Driven: The motivation to meet and exceed monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Adaptability: A positive, solutions-focused approach to supporting the Marketing and Business Development Manager.


About the Role

In this position, you are the “first impression” of the business. Rather than pushing for an immediate sale, your goal is to act as an ambassador, gathering critical data like insurance renewal dates and establishing rapport.

You will work closely with the Business Development Manager to refine marketing campaigns and ensure the sales team has a steady stream of qualified leads. This role offers a unique mix of desk-based telemarketing and active, community-based networking, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied and social work week without the pressure of “closing” the final deal.
