For over 40 years, Hanover Scotland has been a pillar of support for people across the nation. We are looking for empathetic and resilient individuals to join our Glasgow-based Customer Service Centre as Part-Time Telecare Operators. This is more than just a call-handling role; you will be the vital link that ensures our customers feel safe, secure, and supported in their own homes.

About the Role

Working within a 24/7/365 control room environment, you will be the “voice of Hanover” for customers nationwide. This hybrid role involves taking inbound alarm calls, quickly assessing the nature of the situation, and coordinating emergency or support activities to ensure the wellbeing of the caller. Every call is different—ranging from simple check-ins to critical medical emergencies—offering a varied and deeply rewarding daily experience where you can make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Available Shift Patterns

We are looking for candidates who can commit to one of the following flexible schedules:

  1. Variable: Weekdays and/or weekends (Shifts: 07:00 – 14:00 or 14:00 – 21:00).

  2. 4 on, 4 off: A rolling shift pattern (14:00 – 21:50) averaging 28 hours per week.

About You

  • Passion for Care: A genuine desire to help others, particularly older persons, and the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal skills with the ability to remain calm and clear under pressure.

  • Technical Setup: As this is a hybrid role, you must have a professional home-working environment and a strong, stable internet connection (contractual requirement).

  • Multi-tasking: Comfortable inputting data accurately while actively listening to and managing calls.

  • Resilience: Self-confident and proactive when handling difficult or sensitive situations.

  • Eligibility: Must hold the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
