Job Summary: Technical Architect – API Automation (Oil & Gas)
Natobotics is seeking a seasoned Technical Architect to lead API automation initiatives within a specialized Oil & Gas context. This 11-month contract offers a high-level opportunity to design and implement robust testing frameworks in a hybrid London environment. You will join a technical team where your expertise in architectural design and quality assurance will directly influence the integrity of critical software systems used in the energy sector.
Requirements and Skills

8+ years’ experience of API Automation Testing using Rest Assured, Postman

Design, develop automation frameworks for APIs.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Ensure API testing is integrated with software build and deployment processes.

Knowledge on CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, maven) and their integration with version control tools like GitHub etc.

Ability to manage E2E automation, conducting POC, feasibility checks.

Ability to generate and create reporting and dashboard.

Should processes excellent communication and articulation skills.

Should have good understanding of database testing

Sound understanding of Behavioral driven frameworks using Specflow/Cucumber.

Validate that API endpoints send and retrieve data as expected.

Identify, record, document, and track bugs to resolution.

Perform thorough automated regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Oil & Gas domain expertise is required.
Role Overview
As a Technical Architect, you will take ownership of the API automation landscape, from conducting initial feasibility checks and Proof of Concepts to managing end-to-end automation lifecycles. Your role is pivotal in integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins and Maven, ensuring that API endpoints are validated against complex database requirements and industry-specific data standards. Beyond technical execution, you will be responsible for creating high-level reporting dashboards and collaborating across development teams to maintain rigorous regression standards and bug resolution protocols.
