From dental and optical cover to paid NVQ training and a robust “buddy” induction programme, Northern Healthcare invests in your wellbeing and professional growth. The Role
As a Team Leader, you act as the operational bridge between the Service Manager and the frontline Support Workers. Your role is a blend of clinical responsibility and personnel management; you will safely administer prescribed medication and maintain respectful, accurate records while simultaneously supervising and mentoring your team. You will be responsible for effective duty allocation, ensuring that person-centered care remains the priority. Beyond the administrative tasks, you are a champion for independence, working directly with residents and their families to foster positive relationships and ensure that every individual’s rehabilitation journey is outcome-focused and safe.
Sector Insight: The “Rehabilitation” DNA
As you cluster this thirty-fifth role, notice how it sits between your HCA and Qualified Social Worker entries:
-
The “Step-Up” Salary: At £13.40/hour, this role offers a clear progression path from entry-level HCA roles (often £11–£12/hour) but sits below the Band 6 Physiotherapist (£24–£27/hour), reflecting the “Senior Support” level of responsibility.
-
Complexity Premium: The requirement for experience in “challenging environments” and “drug/alcohol addiction” links this semantically to your Domestic Abuse Practitioner and Social Worker roles, where trauma-informed care is a key requirement.
-
Amy Johnson House HU3: Located in the HU3 area, this role adds a geographical anchor to your “West Hull” healthcare cluster.
