Start your journey into education as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant in a friendly Liverpool primary school. You’ll support lessons, encourage pupils’ confidence and gain invaluable classroom experience, all while building skills that can lead to long-term roles or future teacher training.

Role Overview

Working through Milk Education, you’ll join a primary school in the L25 area on a flexible basis, with full-time and part-time roles available. You’ll work alongside class teachers to support learning, guide small groups and individuals, and help create a safe, fun, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons
• Work one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence
• Help prepare classroom resources, displays and activities
• Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork and good social skills
• Assist pupils who need extra support to access tasks
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning space
• Follow school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour procedures

About You

• Positive, patient and genuinely interested in working with children
• Reliable, friendly and eager to learn new skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Any experience with children (school, clubs, babysitting, volunteering) is a bonus, but not essential
• Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training
• Flexible to work full-time or part-time hours to suit your lifestyle
