Teacher Training Programme – Languages

St Bede's College

job description

St Bede’s College is offering a premier opportunity to Train to become a Languages Teacher through the National Modern Languages SCITT. As the lead school for the Manchester Hub, we provide a unique, subject-specific pathway to gaining your PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Mentorship: One-to-one support from experienced linguists to help you refine your classroom craft.

Key Requirements

  • Academic Background: A good honours degree (or recognized equivalent).

  • Linguistic Skill: A high level of fluency in at least one modern language (e.g., French, Spanish, German).

  • Potential: A deep-seated passion for languages and the drive to become an outstanding classroom practitioner.

  • Commitment: Eagerness to inspire the next generation of linguists in a fast-paced educational environment.

  • Specialist Environment: Work within a hub that prioritizes the “Manchester Hub” community, offering a supportive network of fellow language trainees.

  • Career Launchpad: Gain a nationally recognized qualification that sets you apart in the job market as a specialist MFL teacher.
