The Role & Department

  • Maternity Cover: Full-time role teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Curriculum: * Year 8 & 9: Foundational Food & Nutrition.

    • KS4: AQA GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition.

    • Sixth Form: Food Science and Technology (IB Standard Level).

  • Facilities: Two dedicated multipurpose teaching rooms featuring student kitchen areas and integrated theory spaces, fully supported by professional technicians.

  • Wider Life: Lead cooking classes as part of the Activities programme and contribute to the school’s vibrant extracurricular culture.

  • Inspirational Educator: A teacher (or aspiring teacher) who can answer “how is this child intelligent?” by identifying and nurturing individual student strengths.

  • Subject Specialist: Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and practical culinary skills.
