Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them in finding the right products, and ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience. Your ability to engage with customers, manage time effectively, and utilise merchandising techniques will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience
• Demonstrate product knowledge and recommend items based on customer needs
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Keep track of inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
• Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and customer service standards
Requirements
• Strong communication skills in English; or other languages is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
• Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally
• Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and sales floor
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential
• A keen eye for merchandising and visual presentation
