Key Role in Support of Young People with Complex Needs
Job Description:

This exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Speech and Language Therapy Practitioner to work full-time within our Speech and Language Therapy team at Parkview Clinic in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will take a key role in supporting practice, projects, and developments, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services to young people with significant, complex mental health difficulties and underlying social communication and language needs.

Candidates must have the appropriate experience and qualifications to carry out this role, as well as an aptitude and willingness to further develop their skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• GCSE or equivalent at Grade 4/C or above including maths and English
• Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or BTEC qualification or NVQ Level 3 or ‘A’ Level qualification or equivalent
• Experience of working with young people with a broad range of mental health conditions and/or with social communication and language difficulties/autism
• Experience of working effectively as part of a team
• Highly motivated to work within SLT assistant practitioner role within an inpatient CAMHS environment
