Specialist Pharmacist – Medicine
Kettering General Hospital is entering a transformative era as part of the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire Group, and we are looking for ambitious Specialist Pharmacists to join our Medicine Division. This permanent, Band 7 role is designed for those who want to broaden their clinical horizons through structured six-month rotations across diverse specialties, including A&E, Cardiology, and Respiratory care. Core Requirements and Skills

Master’s degree in Pharmacy and Registration with the GPhC.

Postgraduate qualification in hospital pharmacy (or in the process of obtaining one).

1-2 years post registration UK hospital experience.

Clinical experience in a range of ward/clinical areas.

Good clinical knowledge of commonly prescribed medicines and NICE guidelines for common conditions.

Experience in teaching/training/coaching and supervising staff.

Experience of leading or implementing change and managing Datix investigations.

Responsibility for a defined area requiring prioritisation, problem solving, and delegation.

Excellent interpersonal skills, honest, trustworthy, motivated, with influencing and negotiating skills.

Proficiency in IT systems (Microsoft Office, Ascribe).
