Job Overview
As a SCIDA Field Engineer, you will deliver engineering assurance, site inspections, and technical guidance across Defence ICT projects. You will ensure installations meet MOD and RAF standards, support engineering change requests, and maintain continuity of operational services across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver SCIDA services, conduct inspections, and verify compliance with JSP 453, JSP 440, and British Standards

• Serve as the main technical point of contact for allocated sites

• Support project delivery via design reviews, siting boards, and RAF/MOD meetings

• Provide briefings and technical advice to RAF personnel and colleagues

• Contribute to SCIDA documentation, engineering instructions, and cost estimates

• Ensure adherence to H&S, security, and environmental regulations

Requirements & Qualifications

• SCIDA Foundation courses (mandatory)

• Defence ICT, RAF, Telecoms, or MOD engineering experience

• SC Clearance required (DV may be required)

• Knowledge of JSP 440, JSP 453, DICTIS, BS Standards, SDIP-29/2

• Strong technical documentation and reporting skills

• Ability to work independently across multiple sites and brief senior stakeholders

• Awareness of TEMPEST/crypto principles
