Expert Analysis
In 2026, the Handymax sector remains the “workhorse” of the dry bulk market. For a broker with 2 years of experience, this role offers a rare “scaling” opportunity. The transition from a mid-level base to an equity-holding partner via the planned share scheme represents one of the most aggressive growth paths in the current London maritime market.
Location & Logistics Guide
The role is headquartered in London’s maritime hub, likely near the Baltic Exchange in the EC3 district. This provides walking access to the world’s leading shipowners and insurers. Logistics involve a hybrid of office-based market analysis and international travel to key ports and client hubs in Europe and Asia.

Career Path
A broker in this position typically moves from Intermediate Broker to Senior Broker within 2–3 years. Successful candidates who support the Far East expansion may eventually lead regional desks or become Managing Partners, especially given the firm’s intention to launch an employee share scheme.
