Service Charge Analyst – Temporary – Ongoing – Liverpool – c£40,000 – Very hybrid (1 / 2 days per fortnight in the office)

Job Description

Support a major housing provider in Liverpool as a Service Charge Analyst, owning the service charge income cycle, shaping accurate budgets and giving clear information to residents, all while enjoying a highly hybrid, flexible temporary role paying around forty thousand pounds per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage weekly and monthly income accounting processes for service charges
• Work with budget holders and service contract managers to produce robust service charge budgets
• Support the Financial Accounting team to compile and issue annual service charge notices as part of the rent plan
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries relating to service charge statements and notices
• Prepare accurate statements of account, maintaining sinking and cyclical funds and provisions for future replacements
• Review pooled service charges, ensuring fair and transparent allocations
• Check and reconcile service charges collected or allocated by external management companies

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience working with residential service charges, ideally within housing or property management
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail, comfortable handling complex data and reconciliations
• Confident communicator with a friendly, helpful manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Naturally service-focused, able to explain charges clearly to non-finance customers
• Highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working largely remotely with occasional office attendance in Liverpool
