Position: Senior Support Worker (Part-Time)
Location: Kingshill Court, Wigan, WN6 0AR

Making Space Charity is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Kingshill Court in Wigan. This part-time role (32 hours per week) offers a salary of £13.35 per hour and includes sleep-in cover. The role provides an opportunity to supervise and support a dedicated team of support workers, delivering person-centred care to adults with a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions, and physical health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff to ensure high-quality, values-based care

• Support adults with various conditions through person-centred approaches

• Follow individual care plans, administer medication, and assist with daily living tasks

• Facilitate access to the community and support domestic activities such as shopping

• Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and maintain accurate records

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvements

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Support Worker is essential

• Experience supervising and delegating staff responsibilities

• Understanding of person-centred care for adults with mental health, dementia, and physical conditions

• Ability to administer medication safely and follow care plans accurately
