Job Description

Guide complex construction and infrastructure programmes from vision to delivery as a Senior Project Manager with Gleeds in Greater London. You’ll lead multi‑disciplinary teams, manage key client relationships and ensure programmes are delivered on time, on budget and to exacting quality standards.

Role Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll provide end‑to‑end project and programme management services across a portfolio of built‑environment schemes. You’ll be a trusted adviser to clients, overseeing scope, risk, governance and reporting while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to business development and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex projects and programmes from feasibility through handover
  • Act as primary client interface, managing expectations, reporting progress and resolving issues
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, programmes, budgets and risk registers
  • Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, including design, cost, engineering and contractor stakeholders
  • Oversee procurement strategies, tender processes and contract administration as required
  • Ensure robust governance, quality, health & safety and environmental standards are upheld
  • Prepare and present reports, business cases and recommendations to senior client stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor project managers and assistants, supporting capability development within the team

Skills and Experience

  • Strong project and/or programme management experience within construction or real estate consultancy
  • Professional qualification such as MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets
  • Excellent client‑facing skills, with the ability to build long‑term relationships and trust
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contracts, procurement and risk
  • Confident communicator with strong report‑writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, providing direction, feedback and support
  • Comfortable working in a flexible, hybrid environment
