As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll:

  • Lead and motivate one or two multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they deliver products and services that meet users’ needs
  • Maintain delivery momentum: removing blockers and addressing issues
  • Ensure teams clearly communicate their plans and progress using agile practices and provide reporting data to the portfolio and senior management team
  • Manage supplier relationships and input into budgets, business cases, balancing cost vs value, monitoring financial health in delivery
  • Actively participate in the Delivery Manager community, learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve – including possibly managing or mentoring Delivery Managers

Person specification

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of using agile methodologies and practices to deliver large-scale digital products, services or projects
  • Experience of the continuous approach to planning, forecasting and roadmapping
  • Experience of identifying and fixing problems
  • Experience of promoting agile in an organisation
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams

Stage 1: Sift (CV)

Experience: Your CV should demonstrate how you meet the Essential Criteria

You will be asked to complete an application question in addition to uploading your CV: Describe a time you worked as delivery manager or scrum master in an agile team. How did you help the team succeed? (Technical)

Most of our campaigns utilise multiple assessors and so it is possible that each of your answers would be viewed by different assessors. Your CV and technical answer will both be assessed at sift.

 

Stage 2: Interview

  • Behaviours: “Working together”, “Delivering at a Pace”
  • Experience: Experience questions will be based around the essential skills and criteria as listed in the job description.
  • Technical: Technical questions will be based around the essential skills and criteria as listed in the job description.

Sift and Interview Dates

Sifting is envisaged to take place the week commencing 12th January 2026.

Interviews are envisaged to take place the week commencing 19th January 2026 and are currently being held remotely via videocall. This could be subject to change.
