Main Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN

Support teaching and learning in line with the curriculum and individual education plans

Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons

Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development

Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff

Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements

Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN role

Ability to hit the ground running in a new school environment

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A patient, proactive, and flexible approach

A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs

An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply with GSL Education
About the Role
In this vital position, you will serve as a dedicated bridge between the curriculum and students with complex learning requirements. You will be responsible for implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and fostering an environment where every child feels safe and included. Working across schools in Swanley, you will collaborate with SENCOs and class teachers to manage classroom behavior and support the social and emotional growth of your pupils.
