Job Overview
In this part time Year 6 role you will provide one to one support for a boy with autism who is also on the ADHD assessment pathway. Working Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings, you will guide routines, ease transitions, adapt tasks, and use calming, interest based strategies alongside the class teacher and SENCO. You prioritise trust, predictability and encouragement daily.

Responsibilities
• Provide one to one support from 8.30 in the morning to 1.15 in the afternoon on Monday, Thursday and Friday
• Help with classroom routines, transitions and staying on task
• Use clear, calm language when he becomes distracted or anxious
• Support emotional regulation with simple agreed strategies
• Build engagement through his interests such as trains and age appropriate games
• Adapt classroom tasks so he can access learning alongside peers
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO on approaches and reviews

Requirements
• Recent experience supporting children with autism or ADHD traits
• Calm, steady approach during challenging moments
• Confidence adapting classroom activities and instructions
• Strong relationship building skills with older primary pupils
• Consistent availability on the specified mornings
• Right to work in the United Kingdom and suitable recent references
