We are currently seeking a Level 2 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our Specialist Provision team in the Sunflower Room, working within the Primary Phase. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), working closely with teachers and other staff to help create a positive learning environment tailored to each child’s individual needs.
Skills and Qualifications:

Numeracy and literacy qualifications at Level 2 (or equivalent), essential

Willingness to undertake relevant training (including SEND-specific training as required), essential

CACHE Level 2 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning / Childcare / Early Years, desirable

A genuine interest in working with children who have special educational needs

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team

Patience, empathy, and understanding towards children with diverse learning challenges

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Willingness to learn new strategies for supporting pupils’ development
