SEN / SEND Tutor – Targeted Provision, Manchester

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support young people with SEND and SEMH needs in the Manchester area. Multiple part-time, full-time, and contract positions are available. Tutors will work flexibly, in person, remotely, or hybrid, delivering Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people, transforming learning experiences in trauma-informed ways.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tuition in Maths, English, or Science to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other additional needs
• Support students from KS1 to KS5 referred by schools and local authorities
• Plan and deliver lessons, provide mentoring, and report on student progress
• Use a trauma-informed approach to engage vulnerable, at-risk, and disengaged learners
• Maintain safeguarding standards and create a safe learning environment
• Contribute to raising educational standards for SEND learners

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD learners
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Familiarity with Maths, English, or Science instruction
• Enhanced DBS check (can be facilitated if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Based in the UK with right to work in the UK
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
