Job Overview
As a School Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve meals, wash up, clean kitchen and service areas, and support deliveries and stock rotation. Working 20 term-time hours each week, you’ll follow clear routines, uphold food hygiene standards and be a dependable part of a fast-paced team.
Requirements
• Able to work 20 hours per week during school term time
• Comfortable in a busy kitchen and dining environment
• Willing to carry out cleaning, washing up and basic food tasks
• Reliable, punctual and happy to follow set routines and procedures
• Strong team ethic and good communication with colleagues
Qualifications
• Previous catering or kitchen experience helpful but not essential
• Basic understanding of food hygiene, or willingness to complete training
• Able to lift, carry and stand for periods during service
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
