Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team, responsible for managing a team of cleaners, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role in janitorial services and a keen eye for detail, ensuring environments are safe, tidy, and welcoming. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 15:30-19:00 during school term time only. (You may be required to working some days during school holidays for deep cleans)
Duties
• Supervise a team of cleaning staff
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces
• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, and other sanitary fittings to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Maintain cleanliness of communal areas such as corridors, reception areas, and offices
• Use commercial cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively
• Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a supervisory position in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures is advantageous
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently as a team leader
• Reliable, punctual, and organised with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

An Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this position, the company will provide this upon signing of a training agreement.
