Job Overview
As a Part Time Sandwich Artist, you will be the welcoming face of the store, preparing fresh sandwiches, cookies and salads to spec, operating the till, keeping the restaurant spotless and ensuring every guest enjoys quick, friendly service that meets Subway brand standards.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads and other menu items to Subway specifications
• Bake bread and cookies, ensuring freshness and consistent quality
• Maintain food storage and preparation areas to Health and Safety and audit standards
• Comply with the Food Code of Practice and follow security and safety procedures
• Operate the till accurately, handling cash and card payments
• Monitor stock levels, check in deliveries and rotate stock correctly
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules in all areas
• Maintain high personal presentation in uniform to meet brand expectations
• Work as part of a team to deliver excellent service and meet customer needs
Requirements
• Able to work part time shifts, including busy periods and some weekends
• Comfortable in a fast-paced food service environment
• Reliable, punctual and happy to follow procedures and checklists
• Strong customer focus with a friendly, positive attitude
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing with guests
Qualifications
• Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales or customer service desirable but not essential
• Willingness to complete full training and University of Subway courses
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safe working, or willingness to learn
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
