AFNOR UK Ltd is an accredited third party UKAS accredited certification body, delivering certification/assessment as well as training services. We are advertising for the position of Sales Officer to support our business in terms of sales and marketing/communication.
Position overview
The Sales Officer will play a key role in driving business growth by promoting our certification and audit servi
ces, identifying new opportunities, and building strong client relationships. You’ll work closely with customers, auditors, and colleagues across AFNOR UK, our head office in France, and international branches to deliver tailored certification solutions.We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual with excellent communication and sales skills, who thrives in a dynamic and supportive team. Based ideally in the Swindon area, this role offers the chance to shape new initiatives, contribute to strategic projects, and grow your career within an international certification body.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet organisational targets
• Identify potential clients to generate new business opportunities
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Conduct client meetings and deliver presentations tailored to their needs
• Prepare quotations and close sales agreements efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using the CRM system
• Collaborate on marketing/communication initiatives to optimise sales campaigns and promotional activities
Skills required
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven sales experience within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry is advantageous.
• Excellent intercultural communication and teamwork abilities in an international environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; training will be provided for other office tools.
• Customer service–oriented, with a commitment to providing high-quality support to both external clients and internal teams.
• Skilled in Key Account Management, with the ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Highly organised, accurate, and capable of working independently using sound initiative.
• Strong administrative and telephone communication skills.
• Confident with presentations and professional client interactions.
