Paralegal / Senior Paralegal – Volume Motor (Defendant)

A highly respected national law firm is looking for a technically minded Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to join its specialist Volume Motor team. About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will take full ownership of approximately 70 litigated RTA files, managing each case from initial instruction through to trial. You will be responsible for the strategic progression of your caseload, which includes drafting pleadings, preparing witness statements, and valuing claims using the Judicial College Guidelines and relevant case law. Acting as a key point of contact for insurers, counsel, and courts, you will lead negotiations and attend conferences, ensuring high-quality defense and efficient settlement for your clients.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven background in handling litigated Motor/RTA claims, ideally from a defendant perspective.

• Technical Skills: Competence in valuing personal injury claims, assessing special damages, and applying Judicial College Guidelines.

• Litigation Knowledge: Strong drafting skills and a firm grasp of court procedures and timelines.

• Communication: Excellent negotiation abilities and confident telephone advocacy skills.

• Organization: Ability to manage a busy caseload of ~70 files independently while meeting strict deadlines.

• Systems: Proficiency in using legal case management systems and high attention to detail.
