Financials & Hours

  • Salary: £25,191 – £25,590 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

  • Working Hours: 29.6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Handling customer enquiries and reports regarding the 2,000-mile network of footpaths, bridleways, and byways.

  • Maintenance Coordination: Assisting with ordering and monitoring maintenance works and updating Public Rights of Way records.

  • Field Work: Conducting site inspections across the county to assess the network.

  • Technical Tasks: Recording data and potentially using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2, or GCSE English and Maths (Grades A-C), OR demonstrable work experience in a public-focused environment.

  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel). Knowledge of GIS is a plus.

  • Language: Must speak fluent English (Immigration Act 2016 requirement).

Skills & Attributes

  • Licence: Must hold a valid Driving Licence.

  • Interpersonal: Calmly liaising with the public and working effectively within a team.

  • Physical/Interests: An interest in walking, cycling, or horse riding is required as the role involves site inspections and an awareness of Health & Safety.

  • Organisation: Ability to prioritize your own workload with minimal supervision.
