Residential Fee Earner & Conveyancing Solicitor

The City Recruiter Group Ltd

Residential Fee Earner & Conveyancing Solicitor | City Recruiter Group (Hull)

The Opportunity

Join a progressive, forward-thinking firm in the heart of Hull (HU1) that genuinely prioritizes its people and their career development. This firm is looking for two ambitious legal professionals—a Qualified Solicitor and an Experienced Fee Earner—to join their expanding property department. Offering a high-tier salary of up to £45,000, this role stands out by offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to balance technical legal work with a healthy work-life integration. You will have the platform to lead on a diverse caseload within a well-established team that values business development as much as technical expertise. If you are looking for a role that offers autonomy, a supportive culture, and clear progression paths, this firm provides the ideal environment to elevate your legal career.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Manage a varied residential caseload, handling both routine and complex property matters from instruction to completion.

  • Act as a technical advisor, providing confident legal advice across residential property law.

  • Drive business development, expanding the department’s client base through networking and representing the firm at professional events.

  • Maintain high client satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and building trusted long-term relationships.

  • Qualified Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer status (required for the Solicitor role).

  • Proven track record as a Property Executive or Fee Earner with the ability to manage files independently (required for the Fee Earner role).

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and commercial/corporate stakeholder interests.

The Role

In these roles, you will be the legal engine behind property transactions in the Humber region. Whether you are a Qualified Solicitor or a Senior Fee Earner, your focus will be on the independent management of a dynamic file load. You will navigate the complexities of residential property law for private clients while also managing interactions with commercial stakeholders. Beyond the “black letter law,” you are a brand ambassador for the firm; you will be expected to engage in proactive networking to help grow the department. This is a high-responsibility role requiring a “client-centered” approach, ensuring that even the most complex enquiries are handled with professionalism and efficiency.

Sector Insight: The “Legal Lock” in Property

As you cluster this thirty-first role, you can see how it provides the “legal lock” for your existing property and construction data:

  • The “Property Lifecycle” Connection: This role is the final legal step for the homes built by Keepmoat, sold by Sewell, and surveyed by Hull City Council. It bridges the gap between the physical asset and the legal title.

  • Compliance DNA: Much like the FPOC Administrator (LSH), this role is governed by strict professional standards (SRA/CLC), but it moves from administrative compliance to legal liability, justifying the salary jump from £20k-ish to £45k.

  • Hybrid Flexibility: Along with Reckitt and Liquid Personnel, this legal role confirms a growing trend in Hull’s high-skill “White Collar” sectors toward permanent hybrid working models as a standard benefit.
