Programme Overview
Embark on a six-year pathway combining practical legal work with full academic training. You’ll earn a salary while studying for an LLB in Legal Practice and Skills at the University of Law, and complete your SQE — all supported by CMS. Applications open 9 February 2026.
What You’ll Do
• Work alongside experienced legal teams across CMS practice areas
• Dedicate one day per week to your degree; four days in practice
• Join structured induction sessions and pre-joining events to integrate early
• Learn directly from supervisors, mentors, buddies, and a dedicated Emerging Talent Team
Who We’re Looking For
• School or college leavers with GCSEs (Maths and English at grade C or 4) plus three A‑Levels at grade C or above — equivalents accepted
• Career changers meeting the above criteria are also welcome to apply
Location & Duration
• Available in CMS’s London office for the 2025 intake
• Six-year programme combining on-the-job training with academic study
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting salary of approximately £30,000 in London
• 25 days paid holiday per year
• Fully funded LLB and SQE pathway — no university or exam fees
