Job Description

Be the welcoming face of Delta Hotels Liverpool City Centre as a Receptionist, creating smooth arrivals and memorable stays for guests from around the world. You’ll handle check‑ins and check‑outs, solve queries with a smile and keep Front Office operations running effortlessly.

Role Overview

Working 40 hours per week on a full‑time rota, you’ll join Marriott’s Front Office team in a busy four‑star city‑centre hotel. You’ll manage reservations, process payments, liaise with Housekeeping and other departments, and ensure every guest interaction reflects Marriott’s warm, professional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, manage check‑in/check‑out, assign rooms and issue room keys
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping on room readiness and report maintenance or guest issues
  • Answer and route calls, messages and guest enquiries promptly and courteously
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, transport and dining options
  • Process payments, room charges, deposits, refunds and traveller’s cheques accurately
  • Confirm bookings, amendments and cancellations, and run daily arrival/departure reports
  • Maintain an organised, welcoming front desk and uphold all brand and security standards

About You

  • Warm, people‑oriented demeanour with a genuine desire to help others
  • Positive, team‑first attitude and an outgoing, professional personality
  • Confident multi‑tasker with good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable standing and moving around the lobby for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills and basic IT competence for hotel systems (training provided)
  • Previous front office, customer service or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential
