You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of radon measurement services—from issuing testing kits and processing returned post using Optical Mark Reading (OMR) technology to coding measurement records and releasing final reports. This is a high-volume, busy office environment where you will balance technical data entry with proactive customer support via telephone and email. You will also handle essential financial administration, such as raising invoices and verifying payments to ensure a seamless service experience for our diverse range of clients.

  • Service Lifecycle Management: Issue domestic and occupational measurement kits and ensure accurate data entry throughout the testing process.

  • Financial Administration: Raise and code invoices in the MaPS system, checking for received payments before releasing scientific test results.

  • Data Integrity: Extract, check, and code measurement records to ensure they meet strict quality formats and database requirements.

  • Logistics Coordination: Arrange the pickup and delivery of detectors with external laboratories and process incoming post and measurement questionnaires.

  • Reporting: Prepare and issue measurement reports to clients while maintaining set service delivery timescales.

Requirements & Skills (Essential Criteria)

  • Educated to NVQ 3 level in business administration, or equivalent level of qualification, or significant equivalent previous proven experience.

  • Experience of working in a busy administrative office providing customer support services and communicating information to members of the public.

  • Experience of working as part of a team and working to deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

  • Good numeracy and attention to detail: Strong data entry skills ensuring accuracy, paired with capable written and verbal skills.

  • Self-Management: Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising workload to manage pressure and meet set deadlines.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Basic understanding of radon issues (UKradon website).

  • Competency in MS Access.

  • Understanding of Data Protection and sensitive information handling.
